You Season 2 aired last St.Stephens Day on Netflix internationally (December 26th 2019) As I mentioned in my review of the 1st season, I picked up this show a little late, and actually watched the first season on that day, finishing the 2nd on New Years Eve. I thought this season initially was not as good as the first, but as it progressed I came to realise that rather it was just very different. The main difference now being in the fact that we now know for sure who Joe is and what he is capable of. This removed some of the intrigue that we may have had with the character to begin with and we no longer had to wonder what he was capable of or what he would do. Instead, we are introduced to more and more characters this time around than last and all of them put in great performances, which meant that when I was watching the back half for the second time, I was able to appreciate this season more.
Also, as I mentioned previously I usually would dissect elements of the show rather than just the actors and the reactions of the viewer, but due to the nature of the first season, this was not entirely possible and it didn’t necessarily fit. But for this season, we are able to see the clear contrast between the life Joe was living in New York and his new life in Los Angeles. Tied with the introduction of more meaningful and long-lasting characters, this season gave the show a new lease of life and meaning! Without much further ado, lets start breaking it down;
